The “Lymebrarian”

Sharon Hawkes, MLIS has been involved in Lyme disease advocacy since 2001, when Lyme disease first interrupted a 25-year career in the arts. Transitioning to the library field, she is a Beta Phi Mu graduate of Syracuse University, with coursework in  information organization, collection development, management, and digital libraries. She has been involved in advocacy work in Connecticut, Maine, and Massachusetts, including work on state bills which became law. She is currently the Director of Nahant Public Library in Massachusetts.
